Magdalena Petersson McIntyre will present her ongoing research on digital consumption that combines the study of digital devices with ethnographic and qualitative research methods.
In the research project Digcon: digitizing consumer culture, she and her co-researchers analyze trade fairs, blogs, apps, Spotify and fair trade consumption through a combination of participant observations, interviews, focus groups, netnographies of social media and technological inscriptions.
During the seminar she will discuss the different kinds of knowledge these methods result in.
