Gothenburg Virtual Reality Meetup aims to be an open and welcoming community for Virtual Reality enthusiasts in the Gothenburg region to meet and connect. This event, arranged in collaboration with Visual Arena, packs several presentations into one lunch hour and provides a great opportunity to network and try demos from a number of different companies and organizations.

PROGRAMME

  11.30-12.00 Lunch 12.00 Introduction Daniel Sjölie will talk briefly about the purpose of these meetups as well as give an overview of some of the education and student projects currently connected to Virtual Reality at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg.   VTI Fredrik Bruzelius will talk about the experiments conducted at VTI (The Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute) with VR/AR. The aim of the work has been to investigate the possibility to use this technique as a tool and a complement to driving simulators in driver vehicle interaction studies.   RISE Interactive RISE Interactive is an experimental IT & design research institute. They will talk about their playful approach to exploring emerging technologies and using technologies in new contexts.   Brief updates and introductions to demos: CLVR Works, Gothenburg Film Studios, Berge, DigitasLBI
