Live presentation and launch of the Sustainability Atlas: The Power of Storytelling
Today, we are in a period of so much information as data has goes from scarce towards superabundant. Data is central to the global community gearing to implement Agenda 2030, and if managed correctly, it can be used to unlock new sources of economic value, provide fresh insights into science and hold governments to account.
Timely, relevant, accurate and affordable data and information learning loops is important not only for measuring, but also for evidence-based policy making. If a country wants to achieve social development and environmental and economic sustainability, policy makers must understand the trade-offs that accompany integrated implementation. The right data and information will help them make informed decisions.
The Sustainability Atlas is a digital, interactive tool that offers to make clearer sense of data and information relevant for Agenda 2030. Given enough raw data and information access, the Sustainability Atlas algorithms can aggregate and analyze data and reveal new insights that would previously have remained hidden.
Join us for the unveiling of the Sustainability Atlas platform and learn about its functionality. You will be able to explore the SDG Index, the SDG interconnections visualization, the SDG and Topics explorer, all based on both static official statistical bid data and intelligence harvested from research, news, policy depositories, and social media.
