Discover 17th century Gothenburg
Join us on a journey to the city’s infancy in the first and only visualization of Gothenburg in the 17th century. The film is part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary and is included in the exhibition “The Birth of Gothenburg" which opens at the Museum of Gothenburg on March 11. The film has been made possible thanks to cooperation between the Urban Planning Department, the Museum of Gothenburg, Göteborg & Co and Visual Arena at Lindholmen Science Park.
Over the last few years, Visual Arena has gathered a group of various skills from different organizations around the theme “Discover Gothenburg". One of the concrete cooperation projects that took shape out of this context is the project based on a 17th century model of Gothenburg in 3D, which as a first step, was launched at the Museum of Gothenburg’s exhibition "The Birth of Gothenburg,” which opens on March 11.
