Dream
The project Dream is an initiative aimed at redefining performing arts through innovative methods and exploratory practices. The project is part of Visual Arena's Residency for Innovators in Art (RIA) and is produced by the production company Fearsome Thing. In Dream, we explore how traditional theatre can be combined with advanced technology to create an immersive experience.
Our goal is to produce a performance that integrates different creative forms of expression with digital elements in extended reality (XR), enhancing audience interaction and deepening their experience of theatre’s magic. By focusing on innovative creative work methods, we strive to create a performance that not only entertains but also challenges norms and promotes diversity and inclusion.
We want to represent different ways of experiencing the world and develop new methods for audiences to connect with storytelling. Through our explorations of technology’s potential as artistic tools, and storyworld based narratives, we aim to create a sensory-rich and engaging performance that invites the audience into a magical world where reality and dreams merge.
Our ambition is to contribute to increased internationalization within the cultural sector and illustrate the benefits of connections and collaborations between different people and industries.
Fearsome Thing Fearsome Thing was founded in 2018 in Gothenburg, Sweden, as a production company with the goal of reforming and increasing the representation of queer, neurodivergent, and feminist perspectives in the cultural industry.
