This feasibility study will develop requirements and applications for an open simulation platform, a current situation analysis of existing tools and initiatives and establish a consortium.
In the complex transport systems of the future, simulation will become more important for validation and optimization. There is a need for an open simulation platform for exploration and evaluation of system effects and to establish an open arena that stimulates the sharing of ideas, data and models between actors.
