At this event, we will explore perspectives relevant to the production and integration of immersive technology in these fields. Highlights include:
- Hear from artist and architect Wen-Yee Hsieh about his transition from architecture to immersive storytelling through the case study of his latest VR piece Limbotopia
- Meet producer/curator Sebox Hong, who brings years of experience working with immersive technologies in Taiwan and internationally.
- Join a discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and future of immersive technologies in the arts.
The three main area of discussion will be: - What are the challenges when making a VR project and how does the working pipeline look like for such a project?
- What kind of conceptual, artistic, and technical challenges can one expect when transitioning between the field of architecture, design, art, and film towards immersive storytelling technologies?
- What kind of a research environment is needed for development of research within the field of immersive technologies?
The symposium will be held in English and we will offer fika.
