International Youth Conference 2020 på Lindholmen Science Park

Unga röster får höras

International Youth Think Tank är en organisation som drivs av KKVS (The Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in Gothenburg) och Global Business Gate. Organisationen utgår ifrån ungdomar i åldrarna 18-24 och har som syfte att stärka ungas röster i demokratiska frågor.

- The overall objective of the think tank will be to strengthen and support democracy and the open society as well as to create an international platform for discussions about the conditions for future sustainable development and prosperity.

För andra året i rad arrangeras International Youth Conference, där utvalda ungdomar från hela världen deltar i den tre dagar långa konferensen, som i år hålls digitalt på grund av Covid-19. I år består deltagarna av 24 stycken ungdomar från 12 olika nationer.

- We will give the conference participants one overall assignments: to develop their best arguments for why an open and democratic society provides the most desirable conditions that promotes a humane development of the world, and to come up with tangible proposals on how an open democratic society could be sustained in challenging times.

Årets konferens utgår ifrån Visual Arenas lobby på Lindholmen Science Park

Konferensen avslutas i samband med Gothenburg Democracy Day 2020, där deltagarna får redogöra för sina idéer om hur man upprätthåller ett öppet och demokratiskt samhälle.
